Each ship, framed in striking white sails, is elegant but designed to be functional and comfortable. There are public and private places. Lots of light and air, ocean views everywhere. Simple and superb – all outside cabins, all one category. An inviting layout, easy to get around. There are no class distinctions aboard Windstar, each stateroom is virtually alike. Each offers privacy, space, comfort, and high-tech amenities. Each stateroom comes with a queen size bed (can be converted to two twin beds), full length closet, full bathroom, complete with terry robes, hair dryer, fragrant soaps, and plenty of plush towels. Room service is available twenty-four hours a day.

General Information

Windstar baggage policy follows that of airline restrictions. Pack casual, elegant clothing for evenings and casual comfortable clothing for the daytime.

We sail under a "no tipping required" policy. That means the company policy expressly forbids any form of solicitation. Of course, staff members may accept gratuities when they are voluntarily offered.

Due to limited medical facilities, we will not accept reservations for women who will be 30 or more weeks pregnant as of their time of travel with Windstar concludes.

All passengers must carry their valid passport. In addition, some countries may require entry visas. The individual passenger is responsible for securing proper documentation for the countries visited on their cruise.

Children, especially infants and toddlers are not encouraged aboard our cruises. The intimate ship size and unregimented atmosphere is adult in orientation and does NOT provide care, supervision, or entertainment of children.

Situations may arise which, in the opinion of Windstar Cruises, make it necessary for Windstar to cancel, advance or postpone a scheduled departure, change itineraries or make substitutions involving port call, other travel components, vessels or other modes of transportation. These situations may include, by way of example, concerns regarding weather conditions, issues involving safety matters, alternative business arrangements resulting in the decision to withdraw a sailing from public sale or requirements of governmental authorities. If this should occur, Windstar does not assume responsibility or liability for any losses, inconvenience or expenses incurred by passengers as a result. Your full cruise fare will be refunded, however, if the cruise is canceled prior to initial embarkation. Windstar is not required to make refunds once travel commences regardless of the reason for a passenger being unable to complete travel.
