Sunday Admission to the Museum and its permanent collection is free. There is a charge for special exhibitions and some programs, such as concerts, films, classes and performances. For more information, call the Box Office at (919) 715-5923 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

There’s a story behind every work in the collection, and we’re here to help you discover it. Let us guide you on a highlights tour of the galleries or the Museum Park. Bring the family, and enjoy a festival, a performance, computer puzzles or a self-guided treasure hunt. And don’t miss our on-line programs for kids in the Students section. If you’re a teacher, we have many resources on-line or those we can send right to your classroom. You can even find information in our library or from a curator.

The Museum also hosts other Events & Activities:

Landscapes from the Age of Impressionism

Landscapes from the Age of Impressionism, an exhibition of forty paintings, includes many of the finest examples of mid- and late- nineteenth-century French and American landscapes in the Brooklyn Museum's collection. Ranging in date from the 1850s to the early twentieth century, the works presented offer a broad survey of landscape painting as practiced by such leading French artists as Gustave Courbet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Claude Monet and their most significant American counterparts including Childe Hassam and John Singer Sargent. This exhibition has been organized by the Brooklyn Museum.
