Trip Interruption Reimbursement

Trip Interruption Reimbursement If you are driving or riding in a AAA-qualifying vehicle which is inoperable as a result of a traffic accident (not mechanical failure) or your vehicle is stolen, you may receive a reimbursement for a portion of your expenses. When this occurs anywhere in the U.S., Canada or Mexico and you are more than 100 miles from your current residence, AAA will reimburse you up to $250 per member-ship for expenses during the 72 hours immediately after the incident for:

  • Car rental (excluding gas and insurance), and...
  • Meals and lodging in the vicinity of the incident, and...
  • Commercial transportation to your destination or current residence.

Plus members will be reimbursed up to $500 per membership for qualifying trip interruption expenses. Plus/RV members will be reimbursed up to $750 per membership for qualifying trip interruption expenses. To learn how to extend this benefit up to $1000, visit AAA.com/premier.

This trip interruption benefit can be used once per membership year. An accident report must be filed with the local police department and submitted to the club along with all other required documentation within 60 days of the incident. For information on reimbursement guidelines or for assistance, contact the Member Relations department at 1-877-282-3682.
