KIA SEDONA EX MINIVAN - $26,195
Kia’s Sedona was one of 34 vehicles to earn a 2008 “Top Safety Pick” from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety,” and the Sedona was the first minivan to achieve this honor two years ago. Built in Korea, the Sedona is the safety flagship for Kia and comes with a long list of safety features. Our top-of-the-line EX long wheelbase was quiet on the road, with ample storage room and versatility. Options added a 13-speaker sound system and 8-inch monitor for playing movies. Power sliding doors are great for loading and unloading kids quickly.
LIKES: Space, safety, versatility
DISLIKES: Some lean in turns
BOTTOM LINE: Safety features among the best in minivan market.
RANGE ROVER SPORT SUPERCHARGED - $71,675
This five-passenger sport utility vehicle zips like a sports car (under seven seconds to reach 60 mph) with a luxurious interior contrasted by off-road ruggedness. A great all-wheel vehicle for the gentleman farmer who wants to ride the pastures and yet have something for an evening on the town. Electronic driving aids stabilize body roll on and off road and adjust the suspension when needed. The 20-inch low profile tires create some road rumble into the cabin. Comfort features are strong, with heated/cooled seats and flawless finish.
LIKES: Fit/finish, power, rugged, comfort
DISLIKES: Gas mileage, ride
BOTTOM LINE: Peppy and stable on the road; sales have been climbing.
