One of North Carolina’s most recognized artists will celebrate his 70th birthday with a month long exhibit at his gallery. From June 15 to July 28, the Bob Timberlake gallery will display 70 paintings, each one representing a year in the life of Bob Timberlake, a painter and furniture maker whose works capture the rural Southern experience.
Timberlake’s tempera and watercolor portrayal of Southern life have brought him notoriety, including the Albert Schweitzer Medal for Artistry.
The exhibit will be free and open to the public at the Bob Timberlake Gallery, 1714 E. Center St. Extension in Lexington, NC. Hours are Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Call 800-244-0095 for more information. |
