Darby Starnes of Charlotte, NC hadn’t used her AAA Roadside Assistance service for four years but had kept her AAA membership active for 18 years.
Making her happy about maintaining her membership was the day recently when she was getting out of her vehicle on her way to a business meeting and her keys fell unnoticed out of her pocket.
 
“I pushed the lock button on my door and off I went,” said Starnes.
 When she returned to her car she saw her keys laying in her seat and
 immediately called AAA to request lock-out assistance. 

“The nice lady in customer service who answered the phone asked if I was in a safe place, which really assured me AAA cared about me and my safety,” she said.

In about 45 minutes, Marcus (AAA Road Service Technician) was there to unlock her car and get her back on the road.
 
The best part, Starnes said, was that Marcus had a great attitude and the lock-out assistance was included in her membership.
