In days of old, festivals with jousting tournaments, outdoor theatre, feasts and vendors displaying arts and crafts were commonplace. The 14th Annual Carolina Renaissance Festival brings those days back to Charlotte, NC, for seven festive week­ends Oct. 6 to Nov. 18.

Visitors can stroll shade-covered lanes lined with charming cottages, castles, kitchens and pubs with more than 100 purveyors of crafts and food.
