AAA’s Fuel Price Finder helps members find the cheapest gas prices locally and nationally with data received from over 85,000 gas stations around the country and direct feeds from individual chains.

Members typically find a price range from zero to 20 cents per gallon difference with a 3-, 5-, or 10- mile radius. Motorists can go to AAA.com/fuelfinder and put in the city and state to find nearby gas prices. The low, average and high prices are listed.
“I live in a small town,” said Dawn Childers, “and use it for short trips to find the best price. Once you get on the road you have to with the first station you see but if you know where you can get a better price you can plan to stop there for gas.”

Members planning a trip can go to AAAfuelcostcalculator.com, and enter their vehicle type, origin and destination and find out the approximate gasoline costs. (Driving habits can adversely affect gasoline consumption, such as quick take-offs and traveling at higher speeds.)

“We have used this also,” said Childers. “We are planning a trip to Florida this summer and wanted to estimate how much gas would cost. It was very helpful.
