Charlotte’s Discovery Place is the first stop for Gunther von Hagens’ BODY WORLDS: The Anatomical Exhibition of Real Human Bodies.

Visitors have the rare opportunity through Oct. 28 to learn about the wonders of the human body by viewing real human bodies, preserved through an extraordinary process called Plastination.

The exhibit, on display in the southeast for the first time, aims to educate the public about the inner workings of the human body and to show the effects of poor health, good health and lifestyle choices.  After seeing the intricate interconnectedness and remarkable engineering within each of us, visitors will leave with a better understanding of what truly makes us human.
