A unique member-oriented automobile insurance company has been formed by AAA Carolinas to provide coverage to its 1.6 million members.
Titled “The Members Insurance Company” (TMIC), it will also provide insurance to non-members, although they will not receive the same pricing benefits as a AAA member.
Several AAA clubs have their own insurance company – instead of selling insurance as a broker using other insurance companies – and half of them are them rated in the top 25 nationally for excellent customer service by J. D. powers and Associates in consumer surveys
“We hope to join that elite group,” said Jim McCafferty, president of TMIC and vice-president of insurance for AAA Carolinas. “We formed our company to provide superior customer service and price to our members.”AAA Carolinas agents will still represent other insurance companies to ensure that members always get the best possible insurance coverage at the best price for their homes, boats or businesses, McCafferty said. |
