Economical, but with Disney's magic touch, Disney's All-Star Resorts bring sports, music and movies to life in three independent, adjacent resorts: The All-Star Sports, the All-Star Music, and the the All-Star Movies.
Larger than life icons play out the theme here. At All-Star Sports you'll find gigantic Coke cans and surf boards, while at the Music it's giant guitars. The All-Star Movies hosts a gigantic Pongo from 101 Dalmatians and the broom from Sorcerer's Apprentice.
Rooms are the smallest of all Disney resorts, but they accommodate two double beds or one king comfortably, sleeping up to four. Beware, these rooms only have one sink in the vanity area outside the bath. You may have to develop a tooth brushing schedule with just one sink! All are serviced by food courts.
The resorts are spread out and the distant buildings can be a hike from the food court/pool area. The pools are themed, but offer no waterslides. There is a children's playground. These resorts are especially popular with young families and students and can be noisy, especially during peak periods.
Bus service is the only transportation here and it's pretty efficient to the theme parks. If you want to take advantage of dining and recreational activities offered at other resorts, a car will save on commuting time.
