Disney's Beach Club recreates those lazy days of summer - 19th century style. It is located along the shores of Crescent Lake and is within walking distance of Epcot® and the entertainment and dining available at Disney's BoardWalk. It is a sister resort to Disney's Yacht Club (which is right next door) and they share many of the same restaurants and recreational facilities.
Disney's Beach Club is a sky blue building modeled after resorts popular in the late 1800s along the New England seacoast. It has a sporty, casual look with soft, beach-y colors and wicker furnishings. Rooms are large and bright, decorated in seafoam greens, soft pinks with playful beach-style accents and furnishings.
Stormalong Bay is the main pool area and is perhaps the best recreational facility found at any resort. It 's actually more than a pool - it's a mini water park (!) and is shared with Disney's Yacht Club. It boasts a huge waterslide made to look like a wrecked ship. Parts of the pool have a sandy bottom and several heated whirlpools are included. There is a white sand beach for sunning and relaxing, but swimming is not allowed in Crescent Lake.
There is one restaurant located within Disney's Beach Club proper. The Cape May Cafe hosts a popular character breakfast every morning and serves a New England clam bake dinner in the evenings. Even though there is just one restaurant within the Beach Club, dining options abound. There is the quick-service Beaches & Cream located between Disney's Yacht and Beach Clubs as well as the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. Plus, there are the restaurants on Disney's BoardWalk and those of the Swan and Dolphin hotels - all within easy walking distance.
With its superior location, Disney's Beach Club really has it all. It's especially convenient for folks most interested in spending time at Epcot® or the Disney-MGM Studios and offers a wealth of activities, fine dining and entertainment with its easy access to Disney's BoardWalk. Families may find Disney's Beach Club more casually comfortable than its sister resort, the more formal Yacht Club. |
