For the most part, sailing in the Bahamas and the Caribbean tends to be fabulous year-round.

Of course, it can be quite warm in the summer months in that region with day-time highs in the upper 80s. Winter months usually “dip down” into the seventies with Spring and Fall day-time temps in the lower 80s.

It can be rainy during the warmer months of June, August and September. This usually occurs in the form of an afternoon thundershower that passes through rather quickly.

Most folks tend to be concerned about sailing during hurricane season in the Caribbean. With modern storm forecasting technology, it is not really dangerous. The minute a hurricane is tracked in the vicinity, the cruise lines are able to modify their itineraries to avoid the storm.
