Ocean Quest
On the Disney Magic – deck 2 midship – there is a scaled replica of the ship’s bridge complete with captain’s chairs and LCD screen “window” that let you look out over the actual bridge via a live video feed. Way cool! A simulator game lets you feel what it’s like to steer the ship in and out of ports. The area also has computer and video games, movies on plasma screen TVs and arts and crafts. If that’s not enough, there is a sitting area with books, magazines and board games.

The area is geared toward 10 to 14 year olds, but all ages are welcome at certain times. A schedule posted at the entrance will indicate when Ocean Quest is open and for whom. There is usually at least one “Open House” per day where all ages are welcome. At other times, the space will limited to certain age groups or for the Oceaneer’s Club/Lab participants or the teen’s program. Kids 8 and over are welcome to visit unaccompanied (during Open House or if their age group is scheduled). Kids under 8 must be accompanied by a parent or visiting with their kids’ program.
